
About Us.
The Ghana Association of South Carolina (GHASOC) was founded to bring together Ghanaians, people of Ghanaian descent, and friends of Ghana living in South Carolina and surrounding communities. The organization was created to provide a strong sense of family, unity, and support for members while preserving and celebrating Ghanaian culture and heritage. GHASOC aims to promote community engagement through cultural, educational, and social activities that foster understanding and pride in Ghanaian traditions.
Our Three Pillars

Community Engagement & Unity
We foster a strong sense of family by bringing people together through regular meetings, social events, and community outreach. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where members connect, collaborate, and support one another.

Culture, Education & Heritage
GHASOC promotes Ghanaian culture through educational programs, cultural celebrations, and public engagement. We aim to preserve heritage, share knowledge, and build pride across generations and with the wider community.

Support, Service & Empowerment
We are committed to the well-being of our members by offering support in times of need and creating opportunities for growth and service. Through partnerships and volunteerism, we work to uplift our community and contribute positively to society.
Our Mission
GHASOC strives to foster a sense of community among Ghanaians and the broader Black diaspora in South Carolina, Promote Ghanaian culture and heritage, Encourage active participation and engagement in community activities and Support the integration and success of Ghanaians and other members of the diaspora in South Carolina.

Our vision is to create a thriving, inclusive community where the Ghanaian American Association of South Carolina serves as a beacon of unity and cultural celebration.
